SNIC Medal Awards for NYP Diploma in Medicinal Chemistry (2016/2017)

Nanyang Polytechnic would like to thank SNIC for the sponsorship for the Diploma in Medicinal Chemistry Medal Awards at the recent NYP Graduation Ceremony. Below is the list of award winners:

*Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals were presented to the Top 3 Students of Diploma in Medicinal Chemistry

 

Singapore National Institute of Chemistry Award for Outstanding Project Work - Nurul Azlyn Bte Mohd Nor

*Outstanding Project Work Award was presented to the Top Student in Final Year Project.

*Nurul Azlyn was attached at the NUS Department of Pharmacy for internship and final year project under the supervision of Assoc Prof Rachel Ee. Her FYP is on “Self-Assembled DNA Nanohydrogels as Antimicrobial Peptide Delivery Vehicles”. She has successfully synthesized DNA nanohydrogels that can encapsulate antimicrobial peptides to overcome the issue of rapid protease degradation and cytotoxicity. The nanonhydrogels were found to be biocompatible to mammalian cells and suitable to be used as drug delivery vehicles.
