Federation of Asian Chemical Societies

The Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) is a federation of 30 chemical societies from 29 countries and territories in the Asia Pacific whose membership consists of individual qualified chemists. SNIC is one of the member societies of FACS.  The general objective of the Federation is to promote the advancement and appreciation of chemistry and the interests of professional chemists in the Asia Pacific.  One of the major activity of FACS is to organise the Asian Chemical Congress (ACC) which is held once every two years.  In August 2013, ACC returned to Singapore held at Resorts World Sentosa after over 30 years since the first ACC was held in 1981.  The conference featured the history of ACC, the pioneers from Asia and the Asian rising stars in the field of chemical sciences.
