Professor Guo-Qin Xu - Council Member

Prof. Xu is the Head of Department of Chemistry, NUS. He has published a total of ~150 papers in international refereed journals. In 1997, he received the National Youth Award for excellence in science and technology. Prof. Xu’s main research objective is to gain the fundamental understanding of chemical and physical processes occurring on solid surfaces. In particular, he is interested in the surface chemistry related to semiconductor processing and heterogeneous catalysis. In addition, his program is extended to the synthesis and optical applications of nanomaterials.
