Job Title: Applications Specialist (South East Asia)

Job Summary :
The Applications Specialist is part of the scientific laboratory services group in the Pall SEA life science group with focus on downstream processing responsibilities. He/she will be required to work closely with the team to strategically achieve the overall product, service & business growth.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Proactively perform process development studies for the purification of therapeutic proteins.
  2. Involve in direct filtration and downstream process filter selection and sizing, process optimization, technology transfer, and process validation activities associated in the biopharmaceutical and API processes.
  3. Perform in-house and on-site bench-scale experimental work such as sterile membrane filtration, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, viral clearance filtration, as well as chromatography for Proof-of-Principle and Upscale trials.
  4. Collaborate with and provide technical support to customer process development groups
  5. Work in collaboration with the sales team to provide pre-sales technical seminars, product demonstration and workshop sessions to internal staff, customers and distributors.

Required - Skills / Knowledge / Academic Qualifications :
  1. At least 5 Years of relevant experience.
  2. In-depth knowledge and understanding of bioprocess unit operations and possess 3- 5 years experience in process development.
  3. Relevant experience in regional technical support environment.
  4. Self-motivated, problem-solving skills and excellent inter-personal communications skills.
  5. Degree and/or Honours in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related Sciences
