Partners and Supporters

Since the inception of SJChO, many parties have kindly partnered and supported us in this journey to promote chemistry education to the young in Singapore.  Without the kind support from all our partners, we would not have been able to keep the cost of SJChO low while benefiting more students from all over the country.  SJChO provides equal opportunity to students at the declared educational level (O-level or equivalent) regardless of age.  The following organisations have supported us in the following manner:

Ministry of Education

1. Logistics.  E.g. publicity and disemination of information/certificates/prizes.
2. Securing of venues and the preparatory work involved in hosting.
3. Invigilation.

NUSHS

Scientific Committee

Scientific committee members are professionals working in the field of Chemistry.  Majority of the members are from tertiary institutions and research institutes around Singapore.  They are responsible to set the questions, test them, prepare the answer scheme and to make sure that the scripts delivered under strict confidentiality to competition venues.  Finally, they are also responsible to ensure that the scripts are marked fairly.  The scientific committee ensures that the questions are sufficiently challenging and interesting for the participants at their level of education.  Anyone who is interested to join the scientific committee may contact the chair directly.
