Call for Industrial-SNIC Joint Awards in Chemistry 2010 |

The Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC), together with our partners, offers national awards to recognize outstanding, high impact achievements in several disciplines of chemistry for work conducted largely in Singapore. These awards are in line with SNIC’s chartered objectives to encourage, promote and support the advancement of chemical sciences in Singapore.
The four inaugural SNIC Joint awards are to be offered annually to recognize exceptionally outstanding achievements in the following disciplines of chemical sciences:
- HYFLUX-SNIC Award in Environmental Chemistry
- GSK-SNIC Award in Organic Chemistry
- BASF-SNIC Award in Material Chemistry
- GIST-SNIC Award in Chemistry Education
All the above awards will be offered annually. The awards are presented annually to professional individuals with outstanding achievements from work largely conducted in Singapore. There is no restriction on age, association and affiliation of a candidate. One winner will be identified for each award. The winner for each award will receive the award at the AGM of SNIC; each recipient will be invited to give a technical lecture of his/her own choice.
We are now seeking nominations of suitable candidates based in Singapore who will be assessed by SNIC Judging Panel. All nominations must be accompanied by the following supporting documents: a brief professional CV, documentation of achievements and contributions which could be in the forms of published papers, citations, patent filed or granted, commercial or application successes, or other relevant information. Deadline for nomination is 30th September 2010*.
